May Music Performances

During May, student musicians at Agoura High School showcased their musical talents and skills through a series of performances that highlighted many hours of dedicated practice and work. From energetic band pieces to slower and more emotional orchestra pieces, the performances brought family, friends, students, and more to celebrate the music program on campus.

The performance featured many ensembles, such as Choir, Wind, Jazz, and Orchestra, featuring popular and iconic music from Phantom of the Opera, Mamma Mia, and La La Land, which were highly enjoyed by the crowds.

One memorable moment from the Orchestra concert was when the orchestra accompanied a student soloist performing “Skyfall” by Adele and “Carry On Wayward Son” by Kansas. The performance received an enthusiastic response from the audience, many of whom were surprised by the cellist’s strong vocal performance.

Music directors and students spend weeks rehearsing and perfecting the pieces that they perform for their audience. Their commitment was clearly evident through the pure talent displayed on the stage. It’s important to give them credit for the contributions they bring to the music program and the school overall.

The May performances not only entertained the audience but also demonstrated the strong arts program at Agoura High School. It was an emotional and bittersweet way to close off this chapter of musical performance for the seniors. As the year comes to an end, these performances showcase a meaningful celebration of the dedication that student musicians bring to the program with their creativity and passion for music.
